Welcome!

Welcome to the first of what we hope will be regular updates from the workshops, and we'll start by welcoming Ryan Andrew to the team. Ryan has been working exclusively on modern cars for the last few years, but came to us because he wants to mix in more work on classics. He grew up building Minis, so with all that expertise on A-series engines, he should fit right in. We still need more staff though, both on the mechanical side and in the bodyshop, so if you have suitable skills then please do get in touch.

Meanwhile, George has been beavering away in the bodyshop. One project in there is a BGT that a young couple are trying to restore and tailor to their needs, but all on a budget and without going over the top in terms of specification or costs. They are certainly not averse to making changes and adding a few modern twists, but we are having to come up with creative solutions to keep it affordable at the same time.

That custom tweaking is in direct contrast to an MGA Coupe project that we have been working on for some time now – too long if truth be told thanks to things like COVID and staff shortages slowing down progress, but which is now forging ahead once again. The owner of this one wants it to be as original as possible, right down to whether we ditch the non-standard red interior for an original black one. It will be sold when it is finished, so the chances are that it will be returned to the full factory specification.
